Comfortable Cities

Visual identity for an exhibition by the City of London Corporation exploring how to plan better spaces for the City and its visitors.

The Corporation developed a modelling tool that allows planners to analyse elements such as air quality, solar shading, wind, and ‘thermal comfort’, and to use these insights to design better public spaces.

Taking inspiration from the colourful shapes of heat maps as well as the work of artist Gerhard Richter, I aimed at balancing the complex subject matter of the exhibition with a visual identity that is approachable, playful, and ‘pop’.
